Okay, this one was a bitch to do. had to rescan it twqice as I got a line down the center of each picture form something wrong in my scanner. Took almost an hour opr so for everything and then to shrink the images and then compress them and they are still big friggin files.
This paper is p by Karl L. R. Jansen, a good frind of mine form New Zealnd.
Now you may notice his ady at the bottom of the last page. Not to fret. HE now teaches at Oxford so do not try to write the peoples posted at the bottom of the last page.
I have to get back to my other projects.

excellent article......thanks much for posting it
interesting that "the methoxly is at position 4 of the indole, rendering mytragynine analogous to the 4-substituted indole psychedelics(e.g. psiloybin, lysergic acid amide)"

I'm midway through the article. Very interesting read. Fascinating that it resembles psychedelics chemically.
It seems to me the 2 big possible pitfalls for addiction are either using it to get the positive, mild effects on a regular basis and getting used to it, or using it as an escape mechnism and finding a dependancy on it emotionally. Then there is also the theory on addiction as a "disease" as well.
Moderation is always key, huh?
Ps. I love these ariticles. Have you thought about using text recognition software to make it easier to transcribe the ariticles so they don't take so long to upload images? It seems like you do a lot of work, and I apperiate it.

Many of my articles were made on old xerox machines and are not clear for copying text. I only correct it after I post an image. Sorry. I do have 80 gigabytes on my computer so I do not have a space problem. mj
If someone were to show me how to better make text I would.
I have a program or two somewhere on my computer for that. Just cannot use it on a lot of my papers. It also takes time for me to scan and rexzze so it is at least readable. I have about thirty to forty papers on jpegs which are too small for me to read. mj
