...hang in there! It's a long road. Six months ago I was posting and bitching about losing my pit bulls whole first attempt, but they stuck with it, and yesterday my pit bulls started harvesting their first bulk flush (Koh Samui on poo/straw). The mighty pits have gotten 350 fresh grams so far wih the flush only 2/3's finished. They are expecting another 150 grams, and hopefully they can find a camera to borrow. Keep it up this shit is fun!

Couldn't agree more and similar my way in time frame. Had no end of drama on my first cakes and all was solved when I gave cakes the boot and went to casings.

Tremor, if you can pick them out without uprooting their pin-neighbours then you're ok..but I find it usually tears up the small ones close by.
Try dribbling water into the casing layer with a syringe to soften the casing, wait 20 mins to allow it to perculate the casing and then remove the large shrooms. Dry casing = bigger rip-up IME.
Avoid water on the pins -- even so, this water-case-softening approach can cause aborts.

My friend's a newb. Been trying many times now, like three, all failed to contams, usually right after birthing. However, he got a pressure cooker, an old one, and he thinks that will help, but he has NO idea how to use it. He seems to be having problems with the rubber seal, it's an old presto 620 or something like that, if anyone has one, let me know, so i can help him out

If the rubber seal is not broke or badly cracked just rub little petroleum jelly on both sides of the rubber seal,It helps reduce the lose of pressure greatly.

dont put petroleum jelly on the gasket. it will eat it away. if you have a prest or mirro, read the directions.
