Where can I find Mycorrhiza Lyophyllum shimeji spores?

Does anyone know where I can get a hold of some Mycorrhiza Lyophyllum shimeji spores. I plan to inoculate them onto my black pine tree by dipping a liquid culture on the roots when I transplant my tree. They look like this. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/7/76/Lyophyllum_shimeji.jpg/800px-Lyophyllum_shimeji.jpg W\

If Paul don't have it, you may have to find it yourself outdoors.

You might have to find a gourmet produce supplier and buy from there, though be careful as ive also seen the "hon shimeji" name applied to the beech mushroom.

Yeah that's why I am having a hard time finding this strain because of all the confusion with the brown clamshell variety.

So are you after beech mushrooms? The whole Japanese to english name thing is confusing. If its a beech you want its not a Lyophyllum your after but a Hypsyzigus tessalatus which comes in white and golden varieties. They are not a mycorhizal species though .

I believe hes interested in the "Hon Shimeji", the mycorrhizal species Lyophyllum shimeji found in Japan and Sweden.
Unfortunately the common name for this mushroom is often used interchangeably with the common beech mushroom, so shopping for it online is a bit of a minefield.

To add to the confusion... I thought that the lyophyllum occasionally refered to as shimeji was lyophyllum descastes??? However, thats not the mushroom posted in the op's picture.

Thank you so much! I found them here. http://www.takara-healthcare.com/shop/?s=foods/detail&navi=foods&st=details#buyshimeji
Good thing my boyfriend knows Japanese. And he also says you can forward orders out of Japan because they only ship in Japan. Thanks again. Oh I'm a girl not a guy so yeah. Just saying since someone assumed I was male. Now all I have to do is make my own spore print when they come in. So excited . Last thing. Apparently they call these mushrooms in Japan Daikoku if anyone wants to know.
