First Attempt at TC - Fruiting before Birth?

Alright fellas,
This is my first attempt at growing in general, and the type of mushroom is the treasure coast. I used the BRF tech and inoculated 4 jars about 20 days ago. So far only 2 of those jars have developed mycelium but i am a little confused about one of them. Jar A (in these pictures) did not colonize all the full 100% even after the week of consolidation. Jar B (not pictured) fully colonized and began to pin as early as Jar A. Here is Jar A

pinning like crazy!!!
but not fully colonized??!?!?

this boggled my brain for a few days and while searching i couldn't find anything that described my scenario. I birthed Jar A today. Emptied it out of the 1/2pint jar, washed all verm. off with cold running water, and put em back in the jar and put the jar in the SGFC. Jar b is fully colonized but only has a few pins, half to quarter the size of the pins in Jar A. I have jar B soaking up water with the "dunk" tek and i plan to roll him in verm then transport him out of the jar into the SGFC. For my first time, I hope to compare the effects of the mycelium growing in the jar, and one growing out. I have 2 more batches of jars incubating right now and am sure they will be deposited into the SGFC by next weekend.
So far everything looks good! i just wanted to know why did my Jar A pin and produce fruits before i even birthed the cake? And at that the cake wasn't even fully colonized! I am still very proud of my first results and will be updating this thread with more pictures soon! Please share with me any knowledge or experience that can push me in the right direction for my little cakes! Thanks

Contamed. Did you happen to smell it when you pulled it out of the jar?
Edit: what did it look like under the verm you washed off? have any pics?
Premature fruiting is typically caused by a contam, and since i dont / cant see any mold im guessing bacterial.

They likely pin early due to some bacteria. From my understanding the mycelium sorta panics and tries to push out fruits to reproduce.

When it pins before full colonization it usually means there is a contamination.
Hopefully you can get a few fruits.

didnt smell too bad! i want to say it smelt like any ordinary shroom just not quite as strong... but when i washed the verm. off, the jar mycelium reached the full circumference of the jar just not all the way to the glass, like shown in the second picture.

Sounds like the dry verm barrier just collapsed.

how can you start consolidation when your cakes arent 100% colonized?
The pins are likely due to contam as everyone has pointed out.

as likely as it seems, i don't believe the cake is contaminated. It smells fine like a mushroom and i didn't notice anything unusual... and these fruits have grown over an inch in the past 3 hours... if i eat these fruits and the cake is somehow contaminated is that dangerous for me?

He has 2 jars only 1 (the one posted) is the ?able jar.

cool thank you!!! i also just read this post in another discussion which i searched and quoted> Quote:
Premedman1 said: With the PF Tek, you want to wait 2-3 days after the jar appears to be completely white before birthing to allow the center of the cake to fully colonize. DO NOT wait for pinning before birthing, as fresh air and light are two of your pinning triggers which are introduced in the fruiting stage. This will help to optimize your pinset, ultimately maximizing yield.
One of the few pictures I have of hyphal knotting on a PF-style cake.
 Hyphal Knotting on a Casing
if light is a pinning trigger introduced in the fruiting stage, is it bad that my cakes are getting light and steady temperature around 77-80 degrees Fahrenheit... because they are pinning before birthing that is??

Light will not induce pinning, main pinning triggers are full colonization and fae (also evaporation) which likely happened with curiosity and shifting that verm barrier around allowing fresh air to the substrate.

Usually 3-7 days, once they get bigger than pins they will just explode in growth, kinda like mushrooms.
