Ionizer/Ozone generator

I was thinking about getting an ionizer/ozone generator but I am not sure if it is worth the cost since they are a little pricy. I head that they will make your enviroment very clean because it eleminates a lot of bacteria and other bad things. I was just wondering if any of you people would think that that kind of sterility is worth hundreds of dollars. Or if i should just get an ionizer. Any input?

It shoudln't cost you hundreds of dollars for an ionizer/ozone generator -- shop around more. %) Also, I'd personally stay away from ozone generating machinery -- ozone isn't good for you.

you can make an ozone generator out of a Van De Graaff generator. The Ultra high voltage they put out are very good for sterilizing just about anything. This is one of the main uses that these machines were used for.

Ozone is dangerous and working with high voltages is just as, if not more, dangerous.
Ozone doesn't sterilize anything. At least not in the concentrations that you can easily produce. Even if you could produce it in high concentrations it would be too dangerous to be around.
The EPA sued the companies that were caliming that their ozone generators were good for killing bacteria and mold. They aren't allowed to make those claims anymore because they aren't true.
The only claims they can make about ozone anymore are that it's good for eliminating odors.
I have a top-notch ozone generator and it does work great for eliminating odors. Otherwise it's unhealthy and I don't use it except in unoccupied rooms that I vent afterwards.

Do some research on what the original uses of the machine was used for. I think you will find that you are mistaken.
