First grow Thailand-Koh Samui Super Strain
Coming along pretty good I think, maybe more fae??

1/23

Some of the veils are separating already, from what I've seen on here that's when they should be picked? How long after that brakes off is too late?
Comments or suggestions are welcome!

If it sporeulates and matures to much, you will have trouble getting it to fruit again.

I hated KSSS, so many mutants and aborts. Potency was never great for me either. But you may have more luck than i did with them. This was the only sort of "luck" i can say i had with KSSS

What are you talking about? I've left a 1st flush to drop 75% of their spores all over a mono, and had an INSANE 2nd flush... spores don't stop myc from producing fruit... (IME)

Looks like some good bluing to me brother. Best advice I could give is to learn to make prints. Make your own prints and you'll never have to buy again...at least not that strain.

Clearly your working with MS then. As with a single set of genetics, You will have trouble with a second flush. (IME)
The B+ in my sig was an isolate, I did another tray with the same spawn, the same sub mix, but I let the one in my sig sporulate for prints. It did not produce a second flush, And the other tin produced a full 3 flushs (I never let it sporeulate)

I work with agar isolates, as well as MS. I've NEVER has spores stop a 2nd flush. I'm not sure why it didn't work for you, but CLEARLY mycology doesn't work the same for EVERYBODY.
I never pick my fruits until they start to drop spores, you'll get and extra couple grams per cake or 20+ extra grams per tub easy by letting your fruits mature.

That also means less bang for your buck. Potency to weight it at its best as the veil stretches. I would only harvest matures ones to print.

First flush is over with and 90% picked, didn't have camera here when first ones needed to be picked so I didn't get a pic but I was happy with the results. Chem drying now I'll post the count when it's done.
After first picking (1/24 am)

Later on (1/24 pm)

For fun

Any tips for getting a second flush? Re-dunk? Wait?
