So I got these jars that are a Bit funky looking.
Nearly fully colonised.
All 6 are from a g2g from the same jar.
Heres some pics. Let me know what you think.

Mine seem to be growing over it too.
They are nearly done..
There are metabolites, but I think thats from being dry.
I usually prep my rye a little too dry.

The yellow coloring makes me want to say metabolites, but I've never seen them crystallize before.

The overall yellow color is from lighting.
There are metabolites.
If you look at the 3rd picture, larger red circle, at about 8 o'clock, you will see a metabolite droplet.

Here's a pic of one of mine.

I have more that all started out just like it but the myc was so fast it colonized over the spots now there's no signs of it. Soooo im hoping this will happen to the others.

I would be inclined to use them myself if they dont stall and if the MYC seems to colonize over it.. but i work on a rule of doubling everything in case 1 contaminates. I have a lot of tubs going right now lol.

Personally, I wouldn't use either. I'd just toss them. Screw it, it's one freakin jar! It's not worth the risk nor time to spawn them to bulk w/ another quart jar & have that contam then have mold spores all over your house. Then you'll be losing alot more than 1 jar to mold every round...Just toss them. Anyone think that bbt0009's jar on the bottom left corner looks a little gray not white like myc? Possibly cobweb. It's a crappy picture & it's hard to tell.

Its 6 jars.
Obviously is not a big deal or we all would have heard about "salt mold" by now.
Not that big of a deal for me to mix up some more m/v/g if I'm already making a load for one of my big msg's.

I don't think it's a particular individual strain of new mold or special mold. I think it's cobweb, but your mushies are fighting it. So it looks like that. But, IDK. You know my story Base...

It's definitely a shitty pic. I took several with and without flash and that was the best one.
My jars are doing pretty good at fighting it off so im gonna let it finish colonizing and use'em, fuck it.

bbt - if you're using a digital camera follow these simple steps" 1. Put the jar down & step away, sir 2. Set your camera to "Macro" 3. Point camera @ jar & zoom in 4. Click the "take a picture" button 5. Try w/ or w/out flash (I found that flash is actually better if I can manipulate the glare properly.)
See Sorry for the jack Base
