A new camera or an excuse to do an experiment.

The following is a fictional story written on behalf of AFOAF.
EDITED: DAMN!!! Why didn't someone stop me! I was on a trip to fantasy island thanks to 6g of some of my friends
Any way, here are a few pics. He said he’ll send more pics once or twice before final flush.

Experiment or sad excuse to play with the new camera? Who cares!

I didn't get far enough to read the experiment part- but if you need 4 inches of water in your PC, either you are using it wrong or it needs maintenance. IMO.
I do like the pie plates.

Good point on the water. I guess it's only my paranoia after I cooked an older PC to death a while back, by accident of course. I'm still trying to fix the kitchen from that catastrophe.
And I understand about the length of that post. Damn! When I read it this morning I laughed so hard my gut still hurts. Could you tell I was on a trip to the far side at the time? I had been up all night and was still bitching at that damn hookah smoking caterpillar.
Any way, here are the same tins 18 hours later.

It’s a beautiful day in the neighborhood…
I really like this new camera. Those tins seem to like their neighborhood too.
And of course, some neighbors from down the street in a different tub.
And their relatives from across town in yet another tub.

That FOAF really does a lot of weird experiments.

More later…

That FOAF just sent this along to me too. He said it was just shy of 350g fresh and they are drying nicely. Hmmmm. He says it's from the third tub in the pics above.

Quick update.
After harvest I dunked and rolled the three coffee cakes in medium verm. It’s been a few days but there still is a difference. They are as follows:
Decaf (right tray): has the only full blow shrooms, several pins, and is creeping along.
Coffee (Left tray): a lot of pins ready to grow.

No coffee (middle tray): A lot of pins, almost the same as coffee but not quite.

nice. I'm taking it that the shotgun maintains humidly good even with that much of the surface covered with trays?
I have a similar set-up going waiting on bulk colonization, but I could probably fit another 6qt tray in there. Looking at your setups, I think I can..

Yes, there are some humidity issues with this many trays but I compensate with misting an extra few times a day and a jar of open water in the terrarium. That keeps it right in the sweet spot. I use my face as a hygrometer. Sorry RR.
Also, if you leave the bottom of the chamber intact (no holes) the average RH humidity goes up too. To make sure this in itself doesn’t cause problems with contamination I also supplement the hydrated perlite with a lot of H2O2 to help with things just in case. My own idea or at least I haven’t heard of anyone doing that. But I have had zero FC contamination in several months, probably closer to a year.
