What does the Shroomery mean to you?

trendal's situation got me thinking about this question.
It's kind of weird to say this, but I feel a genuine kinship with the people on this site (even the people that I never met or have only met a few times). It's like we're members of some top-secret and cool club. This site has wormed its way into my heart and refuses to let go. I like you guys.
So, what does the Shroomery mean to you? Come on...let's gay up the Pub a little by being all sentimental and mushy.

It's the place where I've been since quite a while and where everybody ignores what I post.
I love this place anyways.

I love the Shroomery because its an all encompassing virtual community with a lot of really intelligent people who care.
I often find myself looking for answers to questions that range as far as 'how much sugar to put in this batch of cookies' to 'if God does exist... then' to 'omgz im soooo wasted' and so on and so forth. It's got a little bit of everything and enough active members to keep every little bit going full steam ahead.
Its a place where I can reflect ideas and thoughts, share stories that many people wouldn't appreciate.
I love the Shroomery

It's the place where I've been since quite a while and where everybody ignores what I post.
The best way to get noticed on this site is to be a girl, a really really nice guy, or a sarcastic asshole. Everybody who doesn't fall into one of those categories seems to get ignored.
If you want, I can help to remake your Shroomery image so you can generate some buzz. As an image consultant, I have several pro-active paradigms that could be implemented to increase your exposure on the site. I'll send you my card.

This is exactly why I love the Shroomery so much.
The Shroomery means a lot to me, personally. Participating in P&S, in particular, has been crucial in developing my understanding of reality, and my ability to effectively convey that understanding. I feel as though I have really developed my conscious mind through discussion with everyone.
I truly enjoy interacting with everyone here. Everyone initially begins to participate here because of one similarity - mushrooms ( ), and that common interest is an incredibly special one. For the most part, we have all partaken in that amazing experience, and have changed and transformed as a result.
We're a community, one of the most dynamic and interesting ones in existance. Just like with our mushroom experience, this community transcends space/time limitations, and allows us to connect with each other even when we are not sharing the same present space.
We're mycelium.
 Peace.

I think it is a place where people from entirely different walks of life can communicate.
As such I think sites such as these are the great equalizer heralding the new pardigm of outsourcing where government need not asemble in person, where buisiness executives may never have to leave there home and families, and where restful stops between menial labor can be more constructive than the labor one is taking a break form (whatever that means)

God I hate it when someone posts their picture. Here I was thinking Doctor J was some suave Keifer Sutherland then BOOM! Don't shatter my illusions man.

THAT is why I love the shroomery so much. I can't remember a single time I've ever visited this place and not had a side splitting laugh. I hope I've returned a few in the process but I make no promises.

It's the mixing bowl. Almost every opinion, you can find here. Also a place to go to find up to date news and information. Mainstream and counterculture. Fuck CNN, I only go to the shroomery. Some of my best friends in the world are here. But most importantly.. it is where to fish for fresh human brains
