WTF is this? Looks weird, no? But then again I have no idea what I'm doing...
    #26063204 - 06/20/19 07:29 AM (4 years, 10 months ago)

A jar went moldy weeks ago and I shaved off a bit of good healthy cake and have been fruiting it since.  It just developed these pins but the stems look very wood like and odd, but this is my first grow and I'm a noob so I really don't know what I'm doing here... all advice welcome!

The name of that is on the tip of my tounge. All i can say is the mushrooms are fine, and if you want to take any of this seriously, dont fruit contaminated cakes bro. If you do take them outside, that way if trich pops up you aren't having it sporulate all over the place. If you need any help feel free to PM me i would be glad to help out man.

Yes, I'm definitely committed to this and am eating up all my time reading and researching and that was definitely a rookie move.  I had it segregated in its own fruiting chamber for two weeks before adding to the larger chamber, to make sure it was healthy.

Either way, you have fruits in hand and that's the goal here. I just wouldn't advise doing it again! Good shit fam.

I promise!  But doesn't the stem look weird and kind of wooden like?  None of my other pins look like that.  Here's others growing simultaneously...

Thanks!  I took it out of the SFGC and isolated it in a Chronic TEK jar so as not to contaminate the others.  Here's a new photo...
Will it be safe to eat?

Yes t'will be fine. Unless it's visibly molding, it should be fine.
