Hi guys, I'm new to the site and mushroom hunting so please forgive my noobness? Any way i would be grateful if some one could please ID this mushroom for me as I plan to consume this bad boy. With the research I have done I believe it to be a aminita muscaria. Any help would be much appreciated.
Habitat: Found in Forrest and woods growing under pine tree through pine needles
Cap: Red with white warts?
Sorry I don't give much more info but like I said I am new to shrooming and not sure on the info on the stem or cap.

And that!
Careful with those, op. Do research and start with a LOW dosage, if you are going to consume them still, after the research lol, kidding.

this is not a 'psychedelic' mushroom. its not even a euphoriant. be educated about what you're consuming.
from wiki since i have it open.
Muscimol is a potent GABAA agonist, activating the receptor for the brain's principal inhibitory neurotransmitter, GABA. Muscimol binds to the same site on the GABAA receptor complex as GABA itself, as opposed to other GABAergic drugs such as barbiturates and benzodiazepines which bind to separate regulatory sites.[7] GABAA receptors are widely distributed in the brain, and so when muscimol is administered, it alters neuronal activity in multiple regions including the cerebral cortex, hippocampus, and cerebellum.
While muscimol is conventionally thought of as a selective GABAA agonist, it is also a partial agonist at the GABAA-rho receptor, and so its range of effects results from a combined action at both targets.[8]

these are nothing like "magic" mushrooms. Like I said before..... do research! I sun dry them, scrape out the gills and powder the caps. Then I use a small amount in eggs or tea. And I mean just a spoonful of powder... maybe start with a half of spoon. And use honey, if you're making tea. That helps with the bad tummy feelings but, again, please do research before consuming those. The people that dont read up on them, are usually the ones with the worst experiences with them...
