First post long time reader of these great forums!
So....grow started on the 7th may with 4 pint jars of sterilised rye grain inoculated with multispore syringe
19th of may the best of the 4 was chosen as grain master and transfered to 12 jars of rye.
27th may 12 jars spawned to two tubs of pasteurised straw and aged cow manure (about 7 yrs old). The substrate depth in both tubs is roughly 3"
Casing is a 50/50 mix using organic peat free compost, crushed oyster shell, pinch of hydrated lime and gypsum.
_________
Fast forward then to 15th of June

Thanks for the support everyone
On with the show!
One shroom has been picked for cloning, donating a smal peice of itself to 6 malt extract, peptone, yeast agar plates. Don't have a flow hood so all transfers are done in a non sterile kitchen under a makeshift glovebox. My grain to grain has to be done in the open as it's too awkward to do in the glovebox...so time will tell.

tub 1 completely harvested now. Yielded a total of 872g wet, that's 140g from the first harvested shrooms and 732 for the rest.

Tub 1 cracker dry weight = 61g
pretty close to stamets' figure of 8% dry matter. 870/61 * 100 = 7%

I think the common calculation is 10 % by dry weight at least thats how I calculate it and it seems to be almost perfect
but those are some beautiful fruits as well damn

Not sure where you got that figure from...Dosage calculator maybe?
Thing is, you can see if I calculate a loss of 10% then I would be short changing myself for a 5g dry equivalent as these shrooms and in fact all of my grows always seem to come out at around the 92-93% water and not 90% as the calculator suggests.
update on tub 2 harvest: 830g. I'm not gonna need to grow for a while...this is actually sad but these are for me a a few close friends and so it will last a while!!
