I am growing some rice in an autoclave bag and it has stalled almost completely. When I checked there was growth around the filter patch but nowhere else. In fact the rice was dried out at the filter. The bag had very little air space in it.

The filters on the bags are pretty resistant to air flow compared to some filter discs I have which you can blow through easily. So I wanted to introduce some new clean air into the bag. So I made this.
Pull the plunger out of a large syringe, mine was 50cc. Take off the black rubber sealer and mark a circle on a filter disc. Cut out the mini disc and smear the edges with silicon sealant. Replace the black sealer and balance the disc on it. Push the plunger back into the syringe making it stick at the top. Bore a hole in the syringe body near the tip. Sterilize
To pump you cover the hole and plunge down, then release the hole and pull back up again and repeat, holding the hole again. You could connect an aquarium pump to the hole with some tubing.
I ended up putting a double layer of filter paper in mine to be sure. It would be possible to use a 10cc syringe but harder to get the silicon right, it may end up covering the entire disc. Glueing may be possible. But it would take a while to pump up a bag with a 10cc syringe. It may be useful for PF jars too. Injected the bag through the seal healing site (blob of silicon on the filter) and pumped in about 2 litres of air.

It may be sterile but you may have combusted some of the oxygen in the air going into the syringe.
