How does the potency of P. mexicana and P. tampanensis sclerotia compare to P. cubensis fruitbodies?
Sclerotia is roughly 70% water by weight while mushrooms are around 90% water. Dry sclerotia is 2/3 as potent as dry cubensis fruits, while fresh sclerotia is twice as potent as fresh cubensis. This is due to the fact that sclerotia contain 3 times more dry matter per quantity of fresh material.

Rye grass seed jars were incubated in dark for 3 months. Substrate was full of sclerotia but instead of harvesting them I cased the substrate, cold scocked in fridge for about 3 weeks and then put to growing conditions. I did the same also with straw/dung based substrate but it yielded less sclerotia and mushrooms. They're very small. I had 3 trays full of shrooms and they yielded only 5g dry. Unfortunately the casings contaminated after first harvest and there were no additional flushes. I wasn't in the mood to try them as I was (and I'm still) recovering from a too hard P. semperviva trip I had so I gave them to a friend who claimed they were more potent and much different then cubes.

How much dry/wet weight did you consume of the semperviva?

I got an increase in size on straw compared to rye grass seed.

2g dry. They were mostly aborts and had very strong bluing (blackening) reaction. Trip lasted for 10h and it peaked after more then 2h when I'd normally start coming down. I advise to be careful when experimenting with rare species. They can be much different then cubes.

very beautifull, 5 shrooms to you. ive heard that its hard to get mexicana to print, did you have any trouble with this? wait...also i thought mexicana A produced mainly sclerotia, and that mexicana B produced fruits. so many questions, i love the mexicana strains, i want them! ~JSlice~

Yes - Mexicana A is mainly used for sclerotia production. It's a bit tricky to make it fruit. The entire project took more then 4 months and I got only 5g of dry mushrooms. On the other hand, sclerotia are easy to cultivate and the crops are big. Many vendors cary mexicana spores, so it's not really a problem to get and try them.
Prints are not easy to make because caps dry up quickly. I made some, but they were very light.
