they could hit you with manufacturing a controlled substance, which is a felony, in which case you'd go down pretty hard. or maybe not. it's hard to tell. drug laws are enforced with much inconsistancy.

i dont tthink they can actually get u with t hat with shrooms, since the actual mushroom doesn't ebcome legal unil its grown, is why u can buy shrooms to grow legally, so with the caps they can't really get u on manufacturing sicne its already manufactured, and unless u got ltos of baggies they can't get u on intention to distribute on that small amount, but of course this is the US government and they do what they want... read november.org

The cakes contain psilocybin which is very much illegal in the US. The spores do not that is why you can buy them.

what? you would be in possession of living mycelium. this would constitute production of a controlled substance (namely psilocybin, psilocin, baeocystin, and norbaeocystin).

that post was totally incorrect unfortunately. they could catch you with nothing but spores and jars and if the DA was a bit overambitious they'd go after you for conspiracy - you'd be able to beat it of course - after shelling out thousands for a lawyer. if the mycelium is already going they'll simply finish the job themselves in the lab to prove your intent, and you'd surely be fucked. 4 cakes would likely only get you probation so long as you had a clean rap sheet though.
