Calvin & Hobbes

There are few things I'm passionate about in life, but Calvin & Hobbes is on the top tier. Anyone else think so too? Well for all the fellow fans out there that miss it, we've waited a long time. So here's a little collection of great art. I own all 17 comic books (including the compilation ones) and I don't feel this way about anything else apart from Futurama.

Calvin and Hobbes was my absolute favorite thing when I was a kid. My parents would take away the books from me because I'd start pulling tricks on them and getting in more trouble at school if I read them too much.

There was a Sunday strip once about Calvin pretending to be in a fighter jet and blowing up his school.
It was controversial and many parents tried to get the strip pulled. Bill Watterson's only response was "any kid that never fantasized about blowing up his school never really went there". That was hilarious.
It's just one of those days. I miss Calvin & Hobbes like crazy.

Been reading it since Grade 2...17 years later...I still sit down with The Days Are Just Packed or Attack of the Deranged Mutant Killer Monster Snow Goons (or any of the others from the collection) with my morning breakfast.
Every morning...gotta have my C & H with my breakfast.

I got a pretty good deal on the complete collection off eBay, but I even think it's worth the full $150 for the hardcover collection.

I know. Because any self-respecting Calvin & Hobbes fan has memorized all of his real strips by now.

Just because it's fan art doesn't mean it isn't good stuff. This is a picture of Kratos fighting King Leonidas. Look my cactus avatar in it's eye and TELL me this isn't jizzingly awesome.

I had about 4 or 5 of the books when I was a kid. They were one of my favorites to read!
That and Garfield, Far Side. I couldn't get enough of comic strips in book form..
Who could forget Fox Trot!?
But yes.. Calvin and Hobbes is hilarious, educational, and one of the few things I can read over and over..

Oh hell ya, Fox Trot and Far Side, also big legends.
And for classic reasons, Peanuts. Shulz is one of the big time "Old Timers". Especially the Christmas Specials.
Heh heh...jiggling cactus.

We were huge fans when we were kids too. Me and my brother were into Calvin and Hobbes and my sister was into Bloom county. I still have like every single Bloom county book, and just a few Calvin and hobbes books.
I still use the phrase calvin ball all the time. Sadly no one really gets it.

Yeah for that one in detail grab yourself a copy of the 10th Anniversary book. It catalogues all of Bill Watterson's problems with publishers/public/lobby groups. It's got some amazing stuff there about his life and his characters' lives as well. It's not just comics, but it's a more adult inside look into the world of Calvin & Hobbes.

I love Calvin & Hobbes.
I got an awesome torrent from Demonoid a couple weeks ago with all of the strips, it's a large file (3.44 gigs) but definitely worth getting.
