Sorry if this belongs in the contamination forum; (to me it doesn't b/c I'm not asking if it was contamed or not I'm asking about the fruit) But whatever; move it if you must...
NOW TO THE GOOD PART!
Check this gangsta shit out B ...lol...(sorry) i forgot ya'll don't like me to talk like that...
Anywho; Check it! ...So Some guy had this jar, and, well, what happened was; it had Trich... So he separated it from the batch, threw it in a box next to a window and forgot about it...
Well, Now that its warming up, He goes to take it outside, and WTF?! The little bastards been fruiting Invitro (still in the jar) so he (goes outside) Opens it up and sure enough, The lil bitch had like 4 shrooms on it! all bundled up and bunched together! So HE "Harvested them" rinsed em off in the sink real good, but they still got alot of Verm pressed into them (from the dry verm layer)...
So, Now that I've explained the scenario, Here's his question... Are they "Safe" to eat? And if not; WHY NOT?
As far as he knows: It's fine if it fruits OUTDOORS and its contamed, but he don't know about indoor, and or Invitro b/c the spores of the trich are surely all over the fruit; (and IN the fruit) BUT; He thinks he remembers reading somewhere that Trich isn't "That Bad" for humans, it's like "Bread mold" and isn't harmful in small quanities? is that right?
And is the Verm "Harmful?" (I know the dust is bad to breathe)

The spores are not on the inside of the fruits. The mushroom mycelium keeps that out of the fruit bodies (unless it's rotting or something)
The verm can probably be scraped off. Or a tea can be brewed.
Trichoderma spores will not end your life. Could very well make you sick though. Eating vermiculite probably isn't the best idea. There are health risks, so I wouldn't recommend it, even though you'd poop it out you could be risking absorbing carcinogens or something
Toss it into a compost pile
