grow box question
    #9976644 - 03/15/09 02:47 PM (15 years, 7 days ago)

i have my cakes ready to fruit for the first time, and i have a good sized box to use, but i dont want to go through the hassle of misting the cakes a few times a day, so i was wondering if i could just put a water source inside the box itself and use a fish tank bubbler to produce the moisture in the air to use as a substitute for the misting. would this work?

Follow this. Misting takes a second, don't be so lazy!

Even if you did use the bubbler method, you would still want to build a shotgun FC for better fruiting conditions

No.  For proper pinning performance, your cakes need to dry out slightly, and then have that moisture replaced. This is the number 1 pinning trigger. If you gave them a steady stream of water to prevent drying, performance would be poor, or non-existent.  You need to mist.  The level of automation to duplicate the human eyeballs and brain/hand coordination hasn't been developed yet.
