injured deer in my backyard

i think he tried to jump the fence and got caught

jacked his back left leg up real bad

its bleeding about half way down, and dangling limp.. clearly broken

im pretty sure that no animal shelters take deer and the cops will shoot it but i figure ill ask if u all know anything that will take em

Helping it find it's way to your plate gets my vote as well but you can probably find a volunteer animal rescue group that will send some bleeding hearts out to spend a lot more time and money helping it than they would a fellow person.

wandered into my neighbors front yard and is eating a bush

im gonna let him go and see if he can survive. apparently 3 legged deer aren't horribly uncommon. in this area they have no predators excluding traffic so he will prob be OK.

i tried to give my sister a hatchett to go put him down and she flipped the fuck out on me ahahah

I guess the most humane way to kill it would be a good quick blow to the back of the head at the base of the neck with a baseball bat. It'll break it's spine and kill it instantly.
