I sure do, I don't care. It may not expand my mind but it sure does twist and bend it in mysterious ways. I assume the PUB might like its alcohol so what do you think? I prefer Jager at the moment but almost any whiskey is good in a pinch.

I love it, although sometimes I'll hate it for a little while. I like how it relaxes me. Pot is relaxing too, but alcohol relaxes me in ways pot can't. Besides talking to people while drunk, I like to have a few and draw while listening to music. When I smoke pot, I like play my piano and look at drawings. Funny how that works.

I LOVE beer. It has to be good beer, or else I feel like it's pointless (takes me too much cheap beer to get drunk unless it's the 8% cheap stuff, and the taste is god-awful). With good beer, I mostly don't even care about getting drunk. It's just... delicious.
But good beer also makes getting drunk a lot easier and more fun! Nothing like an 13% barley wine to getting drunk! 
But yeah, I don't find the "high" to be significant from a mental perspective. It's just enjoyable (usually).
Liquor ain't bad either. But I really love good beer.

I sure do, I don't like how being drunk is stigmatized here. Actually, I've had a lot of thoughtful revelations about myself while drunk. I guess since it's legal it might not be considered as such. Trust me, I love being high as well, in an entirely different way however. I suppose it just depends on the individual, certainly alcohol isn't for everyone.

See, that's what is weird for me. Alcohol seems to change my perception of colors, it makes them more vivid, kind of Van Gogh-ish. Plus, I feel like I can be almost shamanic when I'm drunk, like I can channel spirits. Normally I don't think about shit like that when I'm drunk, I'm just a typical drunk, but I can...

Alcohol can be a valid entheogen, it has simply been cheapened in our culture. Now it's more of a social lubricant.
I love getting drunk myself, runs in my family, though I've been cutting down a lot lately on account of school. One or two bottles of very nice beer is how I roll most of the time these days, no hangover and no fucking of the circadian rhythms. I save the shittiness for parties.
Last weekend my friends and I got wasted and went party-hopping. We wound up at some frat party. I was way too hammered to notice how lame the party was and I beat the shit out of some jock at bloody knuckles after letting him chug my huge bottle of E&J. He got butt hurt and poured the remainder down the drain.

hell yeah 
its great for partying, but it definitely can be entheogenic. sure it is a poison, but so are a lot of things that are enjoyable. i don't blame people who don't like it, i didn't use to like getting drunk either. but more and more i have learned to appreciate its effects.

Alcohol can be used to kill off pretty much any undesired sensation. That's why it's so popular. Downside is the undesired sensations tend to come back in double strength the next day. Moderation is key.
I prefer pot for chilling and relaxing, long drives, making a sunny day twice as colorful. Booze is good for getting crazy and disinhibited for some hardcore partying.

i don't know man, liking it is irrelevant, i'm fucking wasted at the mometn and can't really see antyinhg good about it. but it is a neurotoxin, so whatever positive effects we perceove i don't think are legitimate. doesn't really matter though, whatever gets you through the day

i hadnt drunk any alcohol for over a year and last week i drank 3 longneck beers and a 750ml bottle of beam n cola and although i didnt get that drunk,i mean i got merry and shit i woke up during the middle of the day and yelled for a bucket and projectile vomitted into it
i didnt get a hangover tho

When I trip and see drunk people,it becomes painfully obvious how terrible alcohol is.
Especially really drunk people who shout things and seem obnoxious,that's the worst to see.
However,I do love booze. I enjoy the buzz I get from it.
I'm a once a week have fun boozer.

Me and alcohol have had our moments but I prefer other mind altering substances. I just cant stand how obnoxious and stupid people act when drunk and I really think this stems from dating an alcoholic and there is nothing like getting called by a sobbing gf after she gets pulled over for a dui and I have to go pick her up at 4am.
No she didnt go to jail, they were nice enough to let her go because she was crying so much and the officer felt bad so he told her to have someone pic her up so me and my brother had to go down so he could drive her car home. Lucky I was just smoking out and not drinking because the officer check to make sure I was not drunk also.
This whole ride home she just kept yelling at me like I did something wrong and she turned the whole thing into some shit I did. that was pretty much the end of that relationship. I am sure there are many out there that have dumped a gf or bf after they get to drunk and do the dumbest shit ever. i have never acted this way under any other chemical by alcohol and that just one reason why me and alcohol do not get along.

I do enjoy alcohol in moderation. a nice red wine or a great beer, I like IPA's Dogfish Head is great, along with fat tire, flying fish, but now i am drinking a nice Belgium ale that is 10%alcohol. One or maybe two will do just fine. I do like a nice cold light beer on a hot day on the boat or fishing. so refreshing but in moderation. I just cant stand drunks

you know there was a time frame a window so to speak when you could legal drink drive?
the cops even hated breathalyzing people cause they all drank too
didnt need a drivers licence at one stage in history neither,just the automobile
once when i was drink driving and the laws only just came in back in 83 round these parts a cop had to dive off the middle of the road after he tried to flag a certain drunk driving mug down once
didnt even cop a hiding cause i was young n cute but i knew crying wouldnt have got me the leeway your ex got and for a reading of .125 i got a 1200 dollar fine way back when money was real
think they did more than cry ?
i wonder what women would do to get out of shit like that.....

I don't like drinking for a lot of reasons,
but I won't get into that.
The biggest reason I don't personally do it,
is because I hate the taste of every kind of alcohol there is.

I'm okay with alcohol, its fun to get drunk once in awhile. I do however think that it is much inferior to smoking Marijuana. I'll always be the guy bringing the weed, I'll never be the one to bring the alcohol. My girl is getting me a little more open to it though. I still hate beer and will only really drink liqour. I'm hoping to turn her into a stoner though!

well I love it and hate it see I'm an alcoholic!! meaning I choose to live my life sober..But occasionally will fall of the wagon cause I love oatmeal stouts and organic ale's....it's funny though I don't drink but one or two then I don't even think about it but when I was downing a fifth a day I had to have it!!!

I love to drink in social settings and occasionally by myself as long as I have an activity to keep my busy. However, even when I don't get drunk I've been feeling shittier the days after which is making me reconsider how often and when I drink. Am I doinitwrong?

I haven't tried meth, but i wouldn't be surprised the come down isn't any fun. alcohol is definitely probably in the top 3 (i guess it depends on how long you have been partaking too, longterm alcohols can die if quitting cold turkey)

Fuck no. Coming down from speed is way, way, waaaay worse than any hangover I've ever had. With an alcohol hangover, I can slam a couple of glasses of water and eat a hearty breakfast and at least feel functional.

I know, but I'm just saying it's not even close. And I've seen heroin addicts that have quit. That's like a weeks long hangover. Some people say coming down off coke is terrible, too, although I've never done coke for more than one night. After those occasions, I found the cravings hard to deal with, but other than that, the come down wasn't too bad. But a couple of days of binging is probably a whole other story...
I just don't think alcohol hangovers are that serious. Sure, you can obsess over the downsides and make it seem terrible, but it's really not that bad in all actuality. It's about mind over matter.
edit - I will make exceptions for when people get so drunk that they wind up throwing up for hours and blacking out. But there's no good reason for drinking that much. It's just stupid and never necessary, even if you want to get really wasted.

The only time I ever did any appreciable amount of coke I DID have a funny dysphoric feeling throughout the next day. It wasn't a hangover like I usually know them, as actually feeling sick, though. Just a sort of completely inexplicable feeling that life sucked ass, always has, and always will.
Still, nowhere near as bad as what a couple 40s will do to you the next day. Don't drink the cheap shit, folks, it'll literally kill you.

It was my birthday so I am tipsy.
I went to get some Italian foodwith family and friends, and me and a buddy split a bottle of Merlot.
Then when we all came back to my place, I had about 5 gin and grapfruits. I feel nice. I can tell I am not going to have a hangover.
I can't wait to get up early and ride my new bike to the river.
