Will This PC work? Pics
    #996141 - 10/27/02 01:24 AM (21 years, 5 months ago)

Just got this PC at Walmart. Its a 6 qt PC. It has a pressure indicator pin. It has 2 varities of cooking set in numbers, #1 and #2. #1 is set for delicate foods and #2 is for meats. The instructions do not indicate the PSI. When I cook do I set it on meat, #2?

I would think that #2 = more pressure, and more pressure = higher temperature.  Couldn't hurt i guess.

"I don't know," Alice answered.

yes it should work

#1 is probably 10 psi
#2 is probably 15 psi

I got a 6 qt. mirro that cooks at 10 psi. I cook for 40 min and have done over 60 brf jars without contams

If in dobt you could always cook for an hour on #2 it should still work

I have that exact one man
I personally dont like it, but it does work.  It only fits like 5 jars at a time because the standoff plate is shitty, so I will buy a new one eventually.
But for now, it does work.  I'm just trying to find an electric burner to fire it up w/ in my dorm room.
