why is it?

why is it that contams/possible contams seem to show up right behind the wrinting on the jar?

anyone else ever notice this? or is that just me?

I haven't noticed contamination more at those areas, but I have noticed that the mycelium seems to grow slower there... I have seen the jars colonize around the raised oval saving the inside of the oval to the end... donno why... It may have something to do with the glass transfering heat at a different rate because of the added thickness, or something similiar... I don't think my eyes are playing tricks, but it could be nothing as well..
