Qutting Smoking Cigarettes

Well, I started smoking again. Yesterday I went to the gym at 6AM with the intention of completely quitting smoking. I was chain smoking for the last 2 weeks. I still put more effort into my workout than a lot of the people I saw around me doing their thing. I ran for 30 mins, no shortness of breath or anything, lifted weights, left after 2 hours. At work I asked for a cigarette jokingly and suddenly I had a cigarette in my hand again. That first smoke of the day nearly knocked me off my feet, probably from cleanin out my system at the gym earlier. I have quit cold turkey before lasting 10 months or so, but lately I've been pulling the 7 day/week grind, so smoking becomes something I feel I need to do and I really don't want to. I want to quit, looking for some inspirational stories here...

Quit 4 weeks ago after more than 35 years of smoking. Quit pot, too, but that's not permanent. Just needed a brake from the weed for a while. :shrug:

My lungs feel better already . . . :peace:

It's all about the will power, bro.
If you can keep from constantly jacking off between rape victims, you can quit cigarettes.

Quitting is a lot easier to do when you are surrounded by people who don't smoke. My journey to clean lungs isn't terribly interesting. I did the cold turkey. I'm not gonna lie -- it sucked ass, but I feel immensely better. You could find something to quit for . . . rainbows? unicorns? puppies? Quit for the puppies . . . Aww . . . puppies . . .

There is nothing wrong with the occasional cigarette. Be careful, though, it has a way of creeping into your everyday routine . . . You could chew gum. Gum always helped me.
