Bob Mullet Wonders..... too much moisture?
    #994796 - 10/26/02 03:42 PM (14 years, 1 month ago)

My friend, Bob Mullet is wondering if moisture (water) spots in 1/2 pint jars are normal durning the vegation stage(while the mycelium is growing)? Bob is concerd that there is too much water in the jars and he's wondering what he should do, if anything.

Bob Mullet sincerely thanks you for reading this.

No its not generally something you want to have in your jars.... If it starts looking "mushy" thats bad... but if you've already sterilized and innoculated, I wouldn't worry about it.. just make sure you follow the PFTEK to get the right ratio of verm/brf/water in the future.

Every jar i have ever made has ended up having condensation drops on the inside. It has never hindered growth.

Is normal especially towards the end of colonization . As long as it is not large puddles , you are okay . In time they may start to get a little yellow , this to is okay as long as not excessive and "bright" , this is waste being produced by the mycelium . In some ways it is a good sign that you got moisture contant right .
Good Luck
