My shrooms are growing FABULOUS! As a matter of fact, they are growing WAY TOO FAST for my taste... I had to harvest my SECOND flush already, this leaves me with no time to prepare myself for correct spore printing or agar. I guess I'll do a less strictly sterile spore print and cultivate (purify) on agar later... Even if their potency is not so high, this strain is definitely worth to preserve for their growing speed. Don't you think?
I harvested my first flush exactly a week after they started pinning, the cake had just about 1 or 2 days of refractory period and one week later (including refractory period) I already have to harvest because all veils are starting to break open. Is this magical or what?

This is only two days later. No kidding!!!!

I just can't believe how fast these are growing!

I left 2 shrooms on the cake for spore printing tomorrow...

Yeah, I know!!!! On top of that I'm an absolute newbie! I do realise that I'm extremely lucky! We'll have to see how potent they are, to confirm the fullness of my luck. The growkit was bought in Amsterdam, and I do trust the Dutch when it comes to quality... so I'll cross my fingers and I'm looking forward to trip on these. I'll post my experiences!!!!
Fast is lucky, but I do like to take it easy, haha. I'm a slow guy, I don't like to be hurried . But nevertheless, I really do appreciate this gift of nature.
Thanks for all advises, tips and comments. Very motivating!!! I'm definitely hooked to mycology. You guys are what makes this site so wonderful!

Isn't the difference between your first flush and your second properly hydrated flush amazing?
