No, we get it; its just that you generally are not funny.

No you don't get it because if you did you would laugh.

You don't even really exist anyway. You are the insane part of my brain. Out satan!:hellfire: :pope:

I can't figure out if I should keep doing what I love which keeps me poor and possibly unhealthy or take the job that I'm not really interested in because things are getting so shitty and difficult.

I feel like either way I will generally be the same person with relatively equal mixtures of satisfaction.

I know this sounds like a trite problem. It just keeps asserting itself and I'm becoming an extremely anxious person in relation to it. I have a hell of a lot of trouble making decisions like this.

Everyone has trouble with this I'm guessing. Most opt for security if that is any hint. Those that go their own way often reach great heights of satisfaction.

I wish often I had bigger balls.

They were only men, every one of us has the capacity to take the same responsibility for our emotions.

As far as I'm aware, most modern scholars don't question the historicity of Jesus.

Miracles are another matter.

Not knowing where our path is going is the point, isn't it?
Imagine a life where you had every major and minor decision planned for you, so that you never had to experience change?  Such a life would involve no growth.
Once we come to understand that change is the only constant, we can begin to see that the path of least resistance is one of constant change, and one of growth.  Whatever path we may find ourselves on, it is the right one, or it wouldn't exist.  There are no mistakes in the universe.  That being said:
Be wary of trying to achieve.  A lifetime spent trying to carve one's name onto the rock of history will probably succeed -- but at what cost? Will one find peace when the goal is reached?  Ask the most 'successful' people. They say here are always more peaks to be conquered.  The path of least resistance has no end, either.  But once one is on that path, there's no striving, so it doesn't matter if it doesn't end.

Be a lawyer.  Be a doctor.  Be a philosopher.  If you have to strive, stress, and struggle, it is not the Way.  Better to be lazy, looked down upon by this society that tells you to struggle until the day you die, and just fish by the riverside until you grow old and die.  The worst you can do by taking the path of least resistance is to not be the cause of any harm.

No lazy man ever became a Hitler, Stalin, or Genghis Khan.
No one who struggled their whole lives to achieve ever found peace.
Sounds like you're in a good place -- enjoy the ride.

Water is good; it benefits all things and does not compete with them.
It dwells in lowly places that all disdain.
This is why it is so near to Tao." ~ Lao Tzu

Now you're talkin. This is exactly the path I have taken even the riverside bit. I want to have nothing to do with being a productive member of this society. That's why I no longer work either. Seriously, I just go hiking and camping and fishing and post here. Soon enough any troubles I have will be over.
