2nd flush problem.

Okay, so I?m now on my second flush of Puerto Ricans, my first flush was 14 grams dry from 2 pans and three jars, with an extremely even and prolific pinset.
The fruits were very small, do I decided to stack my casings together after dunking, and now I have only 2 pins, one that survived the dunking, and one that popped up 2 days ago, nothing more. I also added perlite to my terrarium as I only have one casing in there now.

Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions as how to get a more prolific flush, or maybe the first flush after dunking is small?

What do you mean "stack my casings together." ? And how long ago did you dunk your casings, how did you dunk your casing? Throw me a frickin bone here.

Stacked means my once 2 casings are "STACKED" after dunking crumbling and recasing it in one pan. All I did to dunk was put it in a clean pan with water for 12 hours.

Why did you "stack your casings"? IMO, it seems like too much shock for the casing to handle. After you stacked, did you put the casing back in the incubator, or in the fruting chamber?

I put it back in the incubator, Then I placed it back in the fruiting chamber when I patched the casing.

That?s okay; I guess experimentation is the key to this hobby.
I?m actually starting to see some primordia appear, and am hoping for the best. At least my mushrooms are bigger than before.

I also have never stacked casings. Usually I just scrape off the old casing and breakup the mycelium with a sterilized spoon and level it out again. Then I recase and put in my incubator where it stays at 82F for about a week while it knits together and starts to colonize the casing layer, then it's into the fruiting chamber which is about 72F. I have always misted to get the moisture I need in casings, but like you I am always on the lookout for a way to get bigger fruits. I hope it works for you.
