A stoner's guide to death metal and black metal

OK, here's a stoner's guide to death metal and black metal:
1. Atheist - Unquestionable Presence. It will blow your mind. And then do it again. And again.
2. Demilich - Nespithe. Play this late at night to descend into a weird underworld where nothing quite doesn't make sense, but only makes sense when taken as an abstract mood or feeling. Awesome.
3. Burzum - Det Som Engang Var. A twisted journey through the mind, stopping at the land of the dead. Almost ritual music for me.
4. Immortal - Pure Holcaust. When you are fully stoned, it sounds like horses galloping through an underwater symphony.
5. Incantation - Onward to Golgotha. Imagine wandering through a post-apocalyptic city, seeking Jesus to rape and kill him. That's this.
I'm not responsible for your mind becoming twisted if you listen to these while high, but I had a blast doing so.

#6. Darkspace - any album, but Darkspace III is the most accessible and 'enjoyable'. Darkspace is also very much ambient black metal (not dark ambient) and at times psychedelic. Imagine alien orbital machines bombarding planets and scraping off every trace of life, an evil anti-god killing stars with the coldness of its breath and conjuring cosmic storms to terrorize hapless space-farers. Darkspace is the contempt of the void for all which exists, listen at your peril.
-------------------- With a host of furious fancies Whereof I am commander, With a burning spear and a horse of air, To the wilderness I wander. By a knight of ghostes and shadowes I summon'd am to tourney Ten leagues beyond the wild world's end. Methinks it is no journey

^scream bloody gore is soooo the best death album, do you like Autopsy?
Mental Funeral by Autopsy Extreme Conditions Demand Extreme Responses by Brutal Truth
and just I have to mention this, since it fits the thread so perfectly:
honestly, it seems like a joke band but it's ace stuff.

Man, Symbolic blows Scream Bloody Gore out of the water. Schuldiner needed time to make an immaculately conceived album.

I agree, Symbolic is a better album, but both are amazing and sometimes i prefer the rawness of SBG,
