Drained horsepoo juice, use in quart jars?!?!
    #990420 - 10/24/02 07:37 PM (14 years, 1 month ago)

In the horsepoo tek originally developed by Pavlov's dog that roadkill has posted, it talks about letting the horsepoo drain in the sink, after this it states: "leave in there for a hour or so...longer is better.
Keep the poo water....you can use that for your water mixtures....for like cakes or grains.....the added nutrients of the poo water is good!"

Does this mean that u can substitute distilled water that u would normally use in a quart/pint jar of birdseed/grain w. the poo water??? Just making sure, thanks!!!

Any dung water, from soalks, pasturization or whatever -- can be added to grain or seed soaks, to add nutes like nitrogen, to them.

What the hell you do? Throw it on the carpet & walls.

By itself, a sealed gallon jug of poo water has no smell.

I agree, it doesn't stink. Someone else, can't remember who, nailed it to a tee when they described it as "a pleasant earthy smell"

Since we are on the subject, what would be the shelf life of the poo water?

If stored in a tight sealed container & refigerated, months & months. It gets pasturized or sterilized, anyway. When put to use. 6T

I just innoculated some jars yesterday that contained rye and poo water. I'll let you know how it turns out.

The raccoon sometimes adds a bit of poo water to the water he soaks his bird seed in. It works great, in moderation. 6T

if your going to be innoculating bulk substraits i wouldn't even fuck woth increasing the nutrient value of the spawn.

Shaw, your a good hand & know your stuff.

But, IMHO, without getting "anal" about it. Tweaking the nutes as high as you can get them, in every stage --without retarding growth is how you get consistant, stout, healthy multiple flushs out of a bulk substrate.

i'm not trying to be a dick, i'm just saying that i believe the nutrient makeup of the bulk substrait is far more importent because that is where most of the fruiting comes from. I have found that adding anything to rye or birdseed slows it's growth. If he is fruiting the spawn straight, then it dosn't apply. That's why i said only if he is doing a bulk substrait. There's no need to get bothered about my comments. I'm just saying what i would do. If you do different that's fine
