Ok, I used this recipe:
PINT jar: 140 ml birdseed 80 ml water ..............And after 1hr in the PC at 15psi, when I shook the jar to see how wet it was, there were quite a few loose seeds (too dry)..Now Im going to attempt adding 20 more ml with a syringe to each jar and PC again for another hour.....has anyone ever done anything like this? And for others, do you see this as workable?......I think 20ml will be good enough, because the seeds probably absorbed enough water already, and the 20ml will be good enough to keep the mycellium alive when it grows....right????lol........just something new, let me know what u think of this little situation:)

sterilize the water before adding it to the jars then you don't have to worry about the loss in the PC. I have done this with great success

Yes, don't re-cook them they will turn to goo or you will cook 'em. PC some syrnges with water in them then inject the water into the jar(s).

Ok, well i just added 10 more ml of water to each jar and put them in the pc or another hour. The kernels/seeds etc seem to be fine, not too many burst open and the water content is alot better. I WOULD just inject some sterile water with the needle without cooking again, but I want to make sure that this birdseed has a better success rate than the last batch. So anyways, I guess i could get back to this post again in a couple weeks to fill u in with the results. Thanks for the replys.
