Some progress on my first grow.

These are a few jars containing BRF/verm cakes. I can't really remember how long ago it was that these were inoculated. I used a vegetable steamer, so I had to do four jars at a time, and I did two batches. Four jars one week, and four jars the next. Two jars (one out of each batch) don't seem to be showing any growth. I just wanted to know what you guys thought of the rest of them. Sorry for the large pictures. Thanks.

Four of the six jars are done colonizing and have sat for a week. I have birthed them with no issues, and now they're sitting in the pint jars I bought, soaking.
Here's one. I don't know if the little specks is the substrate showing through, or just vermiculite that has fallen down. Do you think it's a bad thing?

They're submerged in these jars for now.

I have built the shotgun fruiting chamber and now my cakes are in it.

The humidity says 99% and the temperature is about 73.
Also, that electric blanket isn't there anymore.

Just a suggestion but next time you will probably want to either use a much smaller tub or a lot more cakes. The shotgun terrarium works best when it is full as growing mushrooms put off humidity and help each other grow and thrive (at least thats the idea I got from watching an RR video)

Thanks, I used this one because it was the only one I had, but next time I'll make sure to go out and buy one. I also have two other cakes that I'll be putting in in a few days. Do you think I should just group them up on one side?

not to go offtopic, but did you drill holes in the bottom of your shotgun terrarium? J/w, cuz I don't really want to have perlite everywhere in my apartment.. lol.

Yeah I did do that, but don't worry. The pearlite won't come out of the holes. It's clumpy when you get it wet.

How long did it take for the pins to grow from what we see in the first pic to what we see in the second pic?
