I agree.

To call humans 'rational beings' does injustice to the term, 'rational.'  Humans are capable of rational thought, but it is not their essence.  Humans are animals, beasts with complex brains.  Humans, more often than not, utilize their cerebrum to rationalize what their primal instincts, their preconceived notions, and their emotional desires have presented as goals - humans are rationalizing beings.

most definitly! when you work your muscles, your testosterone levels boost. Some people will agree that testosterone is psychologically addictive.

Excercise will increase blood flow and encourage capillary development. This could help deliver more nutrients and oxygen to brain cells. I remember reading about a study where exercise coorelated with an increase in subjects' performance on various tests of cognitive functions.

It might help the brain via the capillary mess...
I think it helps indirectly by reducing stress.

Of course, I can't count on all my appendages the hordes of suffering artists/philosophers/musicians who made great works.

Music is a nutrient also. Check the web on Tomatis method of entrainment. Or Guy Berard's AIT. These methods are used to reduced autism, ADD, ADHD, CAPD, etc...

The theory is the auditory and vestibular system are not filtering out frequencies of sounds. leaving problems of attention, concentration, memory storage and recall. Basically, a 'difficult' child has poor listening skills due to over-active or under-active vestibular system.

This also relates to reading problems because the V system is also connected to the visual system.

Some of these methods are a tad $$$$!
