People's obsession with Sports.

It's so stupid how some people are so obsessed with baseball, basketball, football, or other sports. They act like it's some sort of breaking news, and are always jabbering about who made a 3 pointer, who got picked for a different team, etc...its all so meaningless! It's just a game that's been played the same way over and over. Also, professional sports players should NOT be making millions of dollars. Scientists, Doctors, and people who actually make a difference in the world should be paid extraordinary wages, not some fake idiot who takes steroids and plays a game his whole life.

You probably suck ass at sports, or hate competition. Let those motherfuckers play their games.
But yeah, stupid fat fags that get all excited about football games and yell at the screen like they're babies and eat 900 chicken wings in an afternoon make me laugh, and secretly, want to kill. They're as bad as critics: They fail at doing something they love, so they just keep close tabs on everyone that can actually do it and discuss it like they're an authority. But to everyone else, they suck cocks.

I've never understood the fascination with organized sports or racing cars.
What is the fucking fascination with watching cars take left turns all day.
Now the X games....that is a horse of a different color.

My dad and I bond over football. I'll keep up with it, but I'm not religious about it. People that have like that ESPN shit on their phone or talk about NOTHING BUT sports are annoying as fuck, and I agree.

Competition is pretty lame. Whats the point of trying to prove you're 'better' at something else? What void are you trying to fill? Who the fuck cares. I played football and realized how arrogant these jock sniffing douchebags were. Just as sickening as materialistic people. Giving a shit about a purposeless game.

Its what they're competing for that's the problem. If it wasn't about ego inflation and had some sort of worthwhile purpose it wouldn't be such a problem.
Can you also explain to me how competition is progress? Or do you mean how competition can fool people into making progress.

Speaking of headlines, today when the media talked about the 3 men lost in the Gulf of Mexico, they referred to them as 2 NFL players and another man. The 2 pro athletes are much more important than that other guy. why? b/c many are obsessed w. sports as you say.

You know why people like sports? Because sports are easy.
Not as in...easy to play, but easy to understand, and easy to be a genius about a sport. People like to feel intelligent.
