Honey Tek - Carmelized? Mycellium? Contams? w/ Pic

hi.. its me again.. this time it has something to do with the honey tek that i have been using... basically what i did was that i boiled the jars that i was gonna use filled with water in a pot.. then i poured the water inside teh jars into a mason jar equalling up to 500ml... then mixed 5 teaspoons of honey and mixed untill dissolved... then i poured back 100ml into each jar (have 5 jars) and steamed for 25 mins.... each jar covered in 2 layes of foil.... after cool... i injected 1cc into each jar and closed the top with a tie wrap... place in incubator that i made... you can see post here...

these are pics at day 7... 1st day was when i placed in incubator... temps ranged from 79-82f.... not very happy with those temp... ideal temp for me was 86f.. but.. thats good enough.... oh yeah.. im missing a pic of one of the jars... i dunno where it went... oh well.. sigh...

overall... im a bit shakey if that is carmelized sugars or actuall mycellium... then again.. it seems too cloudy with small particles unlike mycellium.. then again... i never seen carmelized sugar... i though that the mycellium growth is supposed to be free floating in the middle.... hrmm... i also noticed hair like growth ontop and white mycellium fuzz on bottle by neck... im not exacly sure on what to expect...

oh yeah.. the spores i used were PF... really old tho.. well.. not that old... i would say 6+ months... stores in my file cabnet... in room temps... but i like the cold.. so who knows...

Yeah bro, I recently tried about the same thing you did, I did one jar wioth honey and one jar with Karo. My results were very similar to yours, the only way to check is to do a couple of test jars. I plan to test mine out this weekend. I was very skeptical about the contents of my jars because they were not white and fluffy, but rather kinda tan. Will keep you posted.
