Neem oil question...and flowering Peyote pics

It's been a while since I've posted here.
I have a question about Neem oil. I've heard you should only use 100% neem oil for cacti because the 70% solution is not safe. I've been using 70% solution on my Peyotes and it doesn't seem to be harming them, but I don't know. Does anybody have experience with this? If anyone has anything at all to throw out there, go ahead.
Here's some pics of my babies from a while back. They're a little bigger now.

Thanks. I read that you're supposed to use 100% neem oil, not the 70% solution (apparently because whatever that other 30% is, harms the cactus). Anyone?

well i think you have this arse about face personally.
when you say 100%, do you mean pure neem oil? you really don't want to be spraying pure neem oil on your cacti...
and i don't understand how a weaker solution can do more harm. it makes no sense.

I don't know man, that's what I read. Yes, I mean 100% neem oil, not the usual 70% solution with other ingredients added. I don't know what you mean by me having an ass about face.

I know you have to dilute it (the directions on the brand I have say 2 tbsp per gallon).
I read on some page that you shouldn't use 70% solution though, which apparently is what most brands are (it contains 70% neem oil and 30% some other crap). They called for pure neem oil, to be diluted of course.
Anyone at all use neem oil on their cacti?

Why do you need to use neem? What problems are you having?

I was using neem oil for mites and it didn't hurt my cacti. But since then I have started using regular detergent and water.

I use neem oil on my cacti, but its of course diluted. Undiluted oil would seem a bit excessive, if not wasteful.

So I emailed the guy who I read this information from (here, see "Scale on Your Cactus" entry) and this is the reply I got:
"Stefan- It depends on which product you use. Some of the 70% solutions cut the neem with petroleum products and this can burn cactus and succulents, but is safe for tough plants like roses.
In general, if you've been using a product successfully for years, it's probably safe to use. Peter"
So there you go.

I would just pick up some organic neem oil and read the ingredients to see what's in it. No need to buy a solution with anything other than neem oil and water, unless it's some other natural pesticide.
