Will these PC, found at Walmart, deliver a 15 PSI that I need?

They don't indaxate what psi they go up to :crazy:
I'm guessing by there extremly affordable price that they won't work...
The needed psi is 15psi. If they meet that then your okay if not....

It looks more solid but you need one that reaches up to 15psi.
I'm not sure what it reaches up to.

Zwieback, go to a store such as K-Mart, Target, Wal-Mart, or whatever. Read the box. It should say what pressure ranges are supported. Most of the non-adjustable PCs with "weights" are set for 10 lbs. Some of them have multiple weights or a single weight with multiple settings. These usually do both 10, 15, and sometimes 12 lbs. When in doubt, read the box.

Ebay has some good deals, I gots me a good ole fashion All American 921 for $38, not including shipping. Yeah its an old girl, but she still knows how to get hot.

I have used the $20 mirro PC from wallmart, its only 10psi has worked well with birdseed so far, havent tried rye yet...

every walmart that i've happened to wander into has carried the mirro 8 quart pressure cooker . . . for right around 50 dollars . . . i've used the hell out of mine and it has yet to fail me . . .

6 qt. mirro pressure cookers cook at 10 psi

6 qt. presto's cook at 15 psi

anyways it should say on the box.  I got a mirro before I realized the difference.  Still works but I still wish I would have got a presto.  Just the peace of mind...that 5 psi :confused:

I use a pressure cooker that only works at 10psi and it has been working great for me with quart jars of birdseed and rye.

I bought the first one on your post, and It has never failed me through 3 batches. Not a single jar with contam. I am not sure about the $20 I have not tried it. Good luck.
