I dont have a cam but i will try and post pics in a couple days, but the description of the shrooms i found is very simple so maybe you can help, I live in southern tx, and i went out about 20 minutes ago and found quite a bit of the exact same species, they averaged about 3-5 inches tall, they grew from the wet ground, right all around dead tree trunks, but not on the actual trunk, as far as the shrooms they are all a rather pale brown, about the color of a peanut shell on top, solid colored, the stem is about the same color, and the undersides of the caps had slits that reached from stem to cap tip, and they were deep slits, the flesh on the underside is milky white, the shape of the cap was consistently round, and on one i noticed some nibbles were taken out, most likely by a large bug, any ideas what it could be? thanks NDL P.S one very mature one i found was a dark brown, if that says anything.
