potassium chloride?
    #987008 - 10/23/02 05:21 PM (16 years, 1 month ago)

My friend is having trouble finding the materials needed for drying out his "little children". He has checked every store or hardware store in his area and he cant find anything that he needs for drying them out. So he noticed that on a bag of ice salt it has potassium chloride in it. He knows that the salt will melt ice but can it also be used to drying out some shrooms??? Please help him out quick!!!

"the stuff" is calcium chloride, though potassium chloride might work just as well if it's anhydrous, which I doubt if it's for melting ice...

I don't get it.If you put a hygrometer in a sealed container of moisten salt you get 75 % humidor.Potassium chlorides a close cousion. How much salts do you need to dry a pound of shrooms?THanxx...
