You are objectively whining
rather than provide helpful feedback you have left me to wonder what the "it" that is tiring you is
are you tired of funnies that uplift minorities rather than insulting them?
are you tired of having to come in to the funnies thread and be faced with the fact that trans people exist?
and it is still you not contributing to the funnies thread

lemme tell you a story
back in 2012, in funnies thread 1
posted all sorts of misogynistic crap that had been taken down off the forums I moderated, where we had a rule against posting hate against women, among others
and got all sorts of +1s, just like your posts on this issue have been given by me
along with a bunch of 5 shroom ratings for good funnies

but then had one Shroomerite kind enough to contact me and express concern about pushing a misogynistic narrative
so toned down that content over the years, and have gotten less +1s
but still contribute content, and still have people who enjoy it

if you have a legitimate complaint about my posts, voice it in some productive detail
stop with the ambigious whining and contribute to the thread

You seem obsessed over trans issues and are using the funnies thread as a platform to try and equalise discrimination and ignorance that occurs in wider society. But this isn't wider society, it's the shroomery. Despite the few haters the vast majority of people here really don't mind whatever you identify as.

But it's not very funny when you post in this thread much of the time, it's appears as agenda bashing.

I have trans friends who keep turtles and grow exotic plants and are a hell of a lot more than their sexual identity. Their gender and orientation is irrelevant in our communication. Not that it doesn't come up, but that isn't the only topic.

I don't know anything else about you besides this one topic. And I would like it if I did. You are not your gender identity nor your physical characteristics. You are a hell of a lot more. It's an injustice that we miss so much of you, especially in a place like this where you are welcome.

am perfectly normal and there is no reason to fear confronting me
unless the fear is that you cannot handle an equal measure of what you dish out

find a lot of the ignorance genuinely comical

as is the entire experience of being trans
it is patently ridiculous to live depressed for so long trying to meet standards of life one way
only to suddenly find out that there is a much more natural and enjoyable way to live

it is referred to as the egg cracking because that is what it is like, the first crack as the act of hatching begins to peel away the shell that's been adopted to try and hide from the pain

would like to reassert my previous postings of bashing "SJW" and feminist stuff that got so much more plusses
as to make me largely indifferent to receiving 1/3 of the quantity now
am aware of how to make a popular post, but not looking to be fake and popular

To my recollection, you have made no effort to further get to know me
people who talk to me in the EMC thread are exposed to my love of animals, my appreciation for photography, my daily nature walks with the dogs, my cuddling obsession with my cat, my gaming
and, quite frankly, have also posted funnies related to my appreciation for branches of science (particularly animal study) and mythological traditions with a focus on witchiness
as well as my resentment of cops

if you feel it is an injustice to miss so much of me
stop judging me entirely by my trans content and open your eyes a bit more
your criticism has been noted and is appreciated, am unable to truly comprehend your perception on this one tho

Personally, I find most of the stuff you post in this thread not very humorous, but again - that's personal. It's not related to how I think about gender and sexual orientations - it's just a different sense of humor and a different frame of reference. I don't mind; I can (and do) just skip over your posts. There's a lot of non-trans/LGBTI related memes/pics that are supposed to be funny but that don't resonate with me (e.g. the ones that relate to computer games etc.) and that I also skip. If they can go here, then gender and sexuality related funnies can fit here just as well. If you look at it that way, there's not really an issue. I guess I can see Notherner's point if I look at e.g. that last one, about feminist vs. sexist. I mean, that meme (at least for me) carries meaning and hits the mark, in a way - but I don't find it remotely funny. Perhaps I'm not the only one to think so, and to wonder what it's doing in a funnies thread. I can't loose any sleep over it, but neither am I surprised at someone wondering if the purpose is not to elicit a laugh (which seems to be the primary purpose of this thread) but rather to educate or to press a societal issue. One can perfectly well be combined with the other, but I can imagine how it would be counterproductive if it starts to be only about the agenda and not anymore about the humor. There's plenty of space for discussing agendas, societal movements and societal issues. There's even plenty of room in this thread to do so so long as it's actually (also) intended to be funny in any way (regardless if _everyone_ agrees it is; humor is still a subjective thing).
