Was spore print taken? Striations on the stem?
What was it growing from?This helps some in the habitat department.

I havent taken a spore print yet. It was growing from damp soil.

Definitely not Panaeolus subbalteatus! Maybe a Psathyrella species. inski.

Yeah, they look like some kind of big ass Stropharia species. Definitely not active.

Do what I do. Ever heard of Bible dipping? That's where you flip the Bible open to see what you should do. I do field guide dipping. I whip open a field guide without looking and BANG! that's what my mushroom is. Works like a charm.
