Do cubensis spores contain "psilocybine"?

I received my letter from customs about why they destroyed my spores, and this is what they said "Psilocybe spores contain active ingrediants that are listed as class A (such as psilocybine)" Im not sure whether this is a mis spelling psilobin but its chemical name is " (3-(2-dimethylaminoethyl)indol-4-yl dihydrogen phosphate). " It seems that psilocybin is the ester of psilocybine, but I wouldnt think that this would be in the spores either............
Also can someone please state a type of mushroom spore that isnt "Conocybe, Panaelous or Psilocybe but has the smae purple colour?

Tell your friend to label the print as Agaricus bisporus.

the spores are not, to my knowlege, illegal in New York. i believe the spelling realy is due to a typo left over from the schedualing of the substance(s) but i have no real evidence to back that up.

"psilocybine" isn't a typo it's the "scientifically correct" spelling of psilocybin, ie they're the same thing. There was an effort a while back, don't know if it's still ongoing, to change all alkaloids to end in "ine", thus psilocybine and psilocine. A lot of textbooks use these spellings.

"A total of 29 samples of the white mycelium growth were analyzed. No psilocyn or psilocybin was detected in any of these 29 samples. Nine of the 29 samples were confirmed by GCIMS, and again no psilocyn was detected. "
i thought mycelium had psilocybin in it?

"The Hewlett Packard gas chromatograph 5890 Series II interfaced with the Hewlett Packard 5970 series mass selective detector (MSD) and the Hewlett Packard GI800A gas chromatograph detector system (GCD) were used for the detection of the analytes. These two instruments are equivalent and samples were run on specific instruments depending upon their availability. An HP-1 12 m column (film thickness 0.33 um, column id 0.2 mm) was used for the gas chromatography (GC). The parameters for the GCD were as follows: injection port 250?C and detector temperature 280?C. Method SCAN70-Low mass 35, high mass 425, initial temperature 70?C, ramp rate 25?C/min and final temperature 300?C hold for 3.0 minutes. The parameters for the MSD were as follows: injection port 265?C and detector temperature 280?C. Method SCN90-Low mass 35, high mass 400, initial temperature 90?C, ramp rate 25?C/min, and final temperature 300?C hold for 4.0 minutes. Sample volume was approximately 3 uL with the split ratio of 30:1."
This has already been discussed in a long and tiresome thread. The theory was that the extreme tempratures broke down the active chemicals.
70?C (158?F) increasing every minute by 25?C (77?F) until it had reached 300?C (572?F) which was then held for three minutes. That is some hot shit. No wonder they didnt find anything.

GIT funny Yeah you can use ESI to detect psylocin(e) and psylocybin(e) in samples. Nice and easy.
