bidis are about $2.50 for a pack of twenty depending on what kind you get(different brands, different flavors) and where you go. yes, you do have to be 18 to buy them.

dazed...they're called bidis...bindi is also an Indian word, but it's not a cigarrette, it's the dot that Indian women wear on their forehead...an ex girlfriend, who was Indian, taught me that...

The 90 cent bidis I buy are wrapped in a pink wrapping paper that has Indian writing all over it...I'm telling you, 90 cents for 25 bidis...no lie...

They're 90 cents for 25 because they're so goddam awful.

Damn man, BIDIS suck....
how could you ever smoke those carcinogenic leaves.
Coming from India, i can tell you that bidis are the major cause of lung and throat cancer in India, well they are good smokes but they are way over the carcinogenic levels of cigarettes.
They are rolled out of a certain leaf which grows wild in central india called as the TENDU leaf.
I would stay away from it..... but then if they are fun.......
all yours people

bidis are a better alternative to cigarettes anyday(cigarettes are nasty, i dont care what you say). like i said before, i dont see how any self-respecting pot smoker could ever smoke cigarettes.

bidis contain about 4 to 5 times the amount of nicotene that normal ciggs do. The first time i ever had nicotene was smokin a bidi to myself and i felt literally drunk. on the other hand bidis don't contain as much lead 210 as ciggs do. (cancer causing chemical)

Wait, aren't bindis made by child labor over in India or somewhere?

Hmm...
Child labor is a very contentious issue in India.
There are several factors that contribute to child labor.
Poverty, is the primary one, the fact that people who live below in the poverty line in India, have no other choice but to force their children to work, if they are to feed themselves and their kids, they arent left with much of a choice.
I was involved with a group that was involved with childrens rights, but when I realized that the fact that their kids need to work, could mean the difference between life and death, I wouldnt necessarily hold child labour as bad, and unnecessary.
The ground reality here is very very simple,
"want to eat ? got to work !"
I know to most westerners it sounds very crude and cruel... but thats the way it is !
Hoping you understand,
Peace

defkorn---
i think that nasty metal contaminant from artificial fertlizers used in us tobacco cultivation is polonium 210 a mildly radioactive element which is an alpha particle emitter... the alpha particle are quite happy to lodge in the sticky brown lung tissues and do their free-radical damage, initiating a chain of events which may lead to lung cancer... the decay product of the polonium is lead 206 i think... mmmmm lungs that glow in the dark... gotta quit burning poisons for new year...
