if your entire hunting grounds where completely submerged they probably wouldn't fruit for a couple days afterwards, but otherwise, no.

Attn PWN hunters: If you should come across a bluing Psilocybe matching P. pellicolusa please smell it.
If you detect a scent reminiscent of Anethole (anise) please preserve a specimen or two for study and please PM me.

Hello jeckel & friends,

Well actually, too much rain can create a problem.

You are in southwest Louisianna hunting Cubensis in the cow fields,
When a cow pie is submerged in water, that is the end of that mushroom pie.
The mycelium drowns.

It is very worth your time to remember what sections of the pasture have been flooded recently, because any section that is in that flood area will not produce shrooms from those patties!

The solution is to seek higher ground (elevation) of the pasture where the flood did not reach. It can rain all day long everyday and those Shrooms will still grow, but once the pies are submerged or flooded, they will not produce again.

So there is actually a difference between "too much rain" and "flooded".. does this make sense to you all or am i wording my thoughts wrong?

Keep shroomin,
Hit the high ground dude,

Keep shroomin,
GG

A second reply to concretefeet & others,

Once a pasture is flooded, those patties are done and i don't waste my breathe walking or looking in that part of the field for about a month after the flooding has receeded.

Keep Shroomin,

that makes ton of sence! so thats why i find most of my shrooms on more elevated parts of the pastures. it didnt rain any today though but it did for the last two days. thanks for the great reply though!
