how to harvest

Well there's a bunch of mushrooms, but they're all connected together at the base with mycelium. Some of the veils are about to break, and I was wondering if I can rip off the ones with the broken veils or should I wait til all the veils break. Also, what's the best way to harvest with little or no contact to the mushroom?

if i was u, i would wait a bit more and cut it all together.

the more u touch them, the more blueish they will become.
the loss of potency, if any, is very little to be noticeable by a first-time grower.

wait for a bit more, you might drop a few spores but no big deal when you start to pick them you want to pick them all at once so the next flush can start. they wont all be at the same stage of life at that point so with some of your biggens you will have some pins too. I was tempted to leave all the little babies to see if they would grow bigger the first few batches I grew and it just led to problems and green.

how does not picking all at once lead to green? i dont and i dont get any green although i wouldnt say im extremely successfull either.

green comes from the little shrooms that don't develop all the way dieing and rotting on the rest of your casing dose not happen often but can, and I just say why take the chance.
