Threw in for the Death Pool at work today.

This is the 11th time this particular pool has been run...the highest payout on record was more than $5000 two years ago, it had been running for a year or so before my manager Tony won when James Brown died.
It's usually $30 to get in, but this year there's a $20 recession special entry fee, and then after that you pay $5 a week until someone dies. Everyone randomly picks three names out of a jar, all the names chosen by the guy who runs the pool (he gets a 10% tipout from the winning pot.)
My names in the last pool SUCKED but I got one great one and two okay ones this year:
Betty Ford - almost 91 years old! "Poor health and increasing frailty due to operations in August 2006 and April 2007 for blood clots in her legs has caused her to largely curtail her public life. Her health problems caused her to be unable to attend the funeral of her old friend and Former First Lady Lady Bird Johnson in July 2007. Mrs. Ford's daughter Susan Ford represented her mother at the funeral service."
Rita Moreno - 77 years old and still kicking. "Moreno continues to be active on stage and screen. In 2006, she portrayed Amanda Wingfield in the Berkeley Repertory Theater's revival of The Glass Menagerie. She was seen on Law and Order: Criminal Intent as the dying mother of Detective Goren. She is a regular on the TV series Cane."
and finally,
Richard Chamberlain a 74 year old actor.
I'd say Betty Ford is definitely my best shot. I wish all the names drawn in this Death Pool a long and happy and healthy life - however, should Betty Ford or Richard Chamberlain or Rita Moreno decide that at some point in the future (preferably not for a few months so the pot can build) that they would like to die a painless, dignified death, I fully endorse this course of action.

The owner of the company I work for has Nancy Reagan, we're in the battle of Former First Ladies.

Betty Ford.
However, consider smoking, drinking, drug habits. Also mental health.

Yeah, Patrick Swayze was in the last pool because he was acting all crazy-like.
The #1 name everyone wants is Muhammad Ali.

Apparently Betty Ford hasn't been seen in public in like three years.
