I support medical testing on unwilling humans
    #9820069 - 02/18/09 01:42 PM (15 years, 1 month ago)

Why not? We already test on apes, our closest living ancestor, as well as many other monkeys and rodents. Rodents happen to be very closely related to primates, much closer than dogs if you consider when we separated from a common ancestor.

Who are we kidding? It's not like we would have millions of test humans, a hundred thousand would be all we need at the very most. We have 6 thousand million people to choose from. There is no denying the data we would get would be better than testing on inferior substitutes. Just look at the medical testing done in Germany and in Japan during WW2.

What, you think humans are too smart to be tested on? Okay then test on retards or those who score lower in intelligence than apes. You think it is wrong to test on humans? Then stop testing on apes! Talk about a glaring logical contradiction right there.

And if you think that subjecting a human to such horrible conditions as forced slavery for medical testing is wrong, what about our economic system that creates horrible conditions for hundreds of millions of people? I would even argue that our economic system creates worse situations for humans than could be devised in a medical lab with the aim of doing medical tests on them, if they were done as humanely as possible.

So you can voice your support for forced human medical testing in this thread! Go human medical testing, Yay!
Do you support the unlawful detention of unwilling humans for the purpose of medical testing to better understand the human body and how to prevent disease and other things to better the health of humanity?
You may choose only one

You go first.

In my city there is a large pharmaceutical company. They are constantly disparaged for paying homeless people to participate in drug trials. I think that forced trials would be less popular. Maybe you should move to a fascist state.

this is the most common misunderstanding about human evolution

I don't support medical testing on animals, so I can't on humans either.

See, already you guys have thought up a good solution. We could test on dangerous criminals. That way the society gets valuable medical data out of them instead of it being an expense. You could even have sentences for repeat violent offenders where they are sentenced to a life of medical testing.

The Eighth Amendment (Amendment VIII) to the United States Constitution is the part of the United States Bill of Rights which prohibits the federal government from imposing excessive bail, excessive fines or cruel and unusual punishments.

Perhaps we could force the researchers (or those funding the research, or supportive of it) to mate with (or clone) each other and produce offspring for the sole purpose of lifelong experimentation. This goes for behaviorists as well.

Would you support medical testing on an unwilling "adjust"?

You're an oil driller and a forest harvester. Stop ruining our environment, and stop supporting clandestine medical experimentation on humans! :mad2:
