She wants a package that includes federal spending for infrastructure, tax breaks for individuals and small businesses, and measures to address the housing situation. Governor Palin believes the current legislation is too large and is not sufficiently focused on these objectives."

The entire Republican party is pretty well united in being opposed to anything that helps the average joe, and helps to keep him in his house and job. The rich depend on these boom and bust cycles to buy up our foreclosed homes and businesses for ten cents or less on the dollar, thus anything that helps the economy along keeps the rich from getting richer.
Hopefully, in 2010 we can sweep the country clean of these bastards.
As for Sarah, she should have vetoed her own pussy years ago. RR

Nonsense. First of all, when did a tax cut ever re-build a crumbling bridge or send money to her state for wasteful projects?
Second, the bill does give tax breaks to individuals, and this bullshit about tax breaks to small business to create jobs is utter lies that anyone should be able to see through. Business writes off the entire cost of employees, thus there is no truth to that statement that they'll hire more people if only they didn't have to pay taxes on their profits. The republicans want a tax cut to small business because they're the ones that join the Chamber of Commerce and the chamber gives 100% of it's political contributions to the Republican party. It's nothing but a political payoff to a major donor. It's not about jobs or saving the economy, it's about paying off political donors. RR

Sweep the country clean of the Republicans? FYI the democrats already control (comfortably) the House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate.

The Republican Party is very much in favor of the average Joe. What they are not in favor of is the average Moocher. The average Joe goes to work and gets clobbered by taxes. The average Moocher, the Democrat demographic, does neither. Like the Obamanut in Ft Myers Florida asking Obama to buy her a house or the other moocher looking for free gas and a car. Bums and moochers. But there's an awful lot of them.
If Moochers were denied the vote Democrats would never win an election of note.

Amen Roger
Though to be honest, the Democrats are mostly whiners who want to make sure that absolutely every body gets to live here and nobody gets to fail because it's a big bad scary world and it should be fair for everybody
But that's just a nuisance, the Republicans are actively trying to kill me.

I used to do that, but now i only hire part-time employees with no benefits and pay them under the table.

It's funny to me how republicans have found religion and are suddenly against large expenditures when the previous administration had massive spending both before and after the economic crisis hit.
I guess it's okay only when they do it.

I think she actually made a good deal of sense. Sadly, Republicans, by and large, abandon their stated principles once they get in power. They talk the talk, but the evidence suggests that they are just as concerned with feathering their own nests and those of their large donors as are the democrats... their nests are just a little different.

No, it wasn't OK. It's why the assholes are out of business. If the Republicans are going to be Democrats then Republican voters aren't going to vote for them. And they didn't. Next on the chopping block: Arlen Spector. We've had enough of his bullshit for several years now.

Especially the part about being for the bridge to nowhere before she was against it, and having foreign policy experience because you can see Russia from an island off the coast of Alaska(which you can't by the way. That would be Siberia). She also said she had foreign policy experience because foreign diplomats on their way to America often fly a route over the north pole, thus their aircraft fly at 40,000 feet over Alaska. She does have a fine ass though. . .

Context my friend, context. I was of course, only referring to this particular video (and only the beginning of it, as I slipped off into a masturbatory Alaskan fantasy and stopped paying attention.)

not too unsurprisingly, this has nothing to do with what she said. I'm sure you can come up with a substantive critique, right?
