Cultivation Possible in Low Temps? * 1
    #9806801 - 02/16/09 08:43 AM (15 years, 1 month ago)

I know temps should be around 75F so this is a technical question.
If light and humidity are right, will cubes fruit in the low 60s?
If so how much longer than at higher temps and will the fruits be deformed?

Put them in direct sun through a bright window each day long enough to completely warm up the interior of the fruiting chamber and substrates.  Otherwise, your performance will be poor if at all.  They can tolerate low temps during the night, but will do much better if they warm up during the day.  I'd suggest a small space heater for your room.

it'll take a long time

edit: they do make heat though, so if it was like bulk in a cooler it should work

ive seen cubensis fruiting at near freezing many times, but it makes them look really sad.

fuck it

if you order spores or mushroom cultures, dont use a slow shipping method unless you want your spores or cultures to get lost in the mail.

UPS with tracking is best imo

i dont think theyll be deformed in the 60s. in the 30s and 40s its very possible. its kind of like they get frost bite.
