Help a kettle ball Noob

Hey guys, I've been reading off and on about the kettle ball thing and I want to give it a shot. I've been very consistent at the gym for the past couple of years, but I am bored, and this sounds like just the trick.
I want to start a program and was hoping one (or more) of you could just give me a step by step as to what you would have me do. I'm very strong with my cardio, and for my weight I'm strong.
I love to study, so any books, websites, videos, would be cool. I'll dig through as much of the old posts tomorrow as I can, but having it all laid out would be great. Thanks.

http://kbforum.dragondoor.com/kettlebells-strength-conditioning-forum/ Look over this site and it will give you an idea
You need to get the book Enter the Kettlebell by Pavel. A male should start with a 35lb bell (16kg).

I think you will love it. There is a great deal of variety that kettle bells offer, cardio, or/and strength exercises.

Definitely get Enter the Kettlebell (there is a thread somehere on the shroomery with an E-book copy to download, run a search) and follow the program it outlines.
I've been working on the Program Minimum (the first step) for just about two weeks, and am lovin' it.
Welcome to your newest addiction. My least favorite part of the kettlebell is my off-day

You all rock. I imagine that it's gotta feel great. I'll get that downloaded and get to reading.
Thanks.

I had the benefit of about 15 one hour lessons back in 06. Nothing motivates you like a RCK trainer. I have never been so sore than the day after a class. I never push myself that hard when I do em by myself.
I looked in to classes but they were super expensive in Denver, like $35 a class. I was paying $40 for 7 classes when I took em in WI.
But, I did buy a video The Kettlebell Goddess for my gf at the time. The trainer is part of the whole Pavel/Dragon Door crew. I watched it and its pretty good. I learned a few moves from it.

Your in Denver MrBump? I wouldn't mind taking a class or two, or getting the DVD, as I'm a real visual learner.
I read most of ETK, good stuff for sure. The one thing that struck me is that this isn't something to be doing if you can't focus well.
Overall, I am really interested in it.

Yeah - its great. When i read ETK I wanted to jump right into the PM & move on to the ROP like a week later, but obviously thats not a good idea.
I forced myself to take a few weeks of daily practice to make sure I had proper form down on the swing & TGU before i started the program minimum, and I'm glad I did. I've been getting great results (even though i've been timing myself wrong) from properly-executed technique
