Best Third Party Ipod Software that allows write protected and diferent file types that iTunes wont?
    #9780653 - 02/11/09 08:04 PM (15 years, 1 month ago)

ive got so many songs on my computer that iTunes wont allow to be transferend on my ipod because they are either write protected, or not the right kind of file type or whatever for iTunes.  I have heard of programs that allow one to put such files onto the ipod.  can anyone recomend the most efficient, user friendly one?  thanks in advance.

iTunes has a built in ripper to convert *.wma files to .aac or .mp3 (I change it to mp3 in the settings).

I'm not sure what other format you might have. (ogg? flac?)

But there are other software options to run on your iPod like Rockbox, but if you are having trouble with this I couldn't safely recommend that route.

Maybe you can add some more information

VLC could probably convert those for you.
